A: Water Proofing
1. First of all, 4 main issues have to been checked in order to apply waterproofing:
Elevation value which has to be between 1-3%, there has to be enough number of water outlets for the need of water discharge. No ponding is required.
Humidity is measured for the selection of product, strength and solidity of the surface has to be strong, dust-free and solid.
Square meters which affects the importance of crack bridging. Higher square. meters increase the importance.
Purpose of use has to been decided such as green area, load bearing.
In addition, the climate conditions of the region should also be considered for the product selection.
2. Water proofing application is necessary in places exposed to external weather or water such as balconies and terraces. Pavement is not enough to apply water proofing application. The materials to be used in application should be fully elastic such as Megaİzo, MegaFlex which will be used as an adhesive material and MegaFuga Flex as a joint filler. Before starting to apply water proofing, a surface control should be checked, repair of surface defects greater than 1 cm in depth should be handled by the help of MegaTamir K 6-8 hours before. MegaFilm is used in order to increase the level of adhesion strength and balance surface absorptivity. It should be allowed to dry 1-2 hours. Liquid component mixed with MegaLastic powder component to form Megaİzolastikon. In order to ensure insulation continuity MegaBant is used at the edge and corner joints. Mix is applied two layers with used of a Megaİzo File in mezzanine floor. Between the application of the water proofing material into layers, at least 6 hours should be waited. Before starting coating, water leak test has to be provided 7 days after the water proofing application. Soil mixture of MegaFlex mixed with an amount of water in order to glue ceramic into the surface. Then, MegaFuga Flex is used to fill the joints after it is ensured that the MegaFlex dries. On the other hand, since pavement is not obligatory, water proofing materials should be elastic, UV resistant and resistant to hard weather conditions. Megaİzo PU 15 is required for the application without pavement. First step is to check whether there is a slope of at least %2 towards the drain. The step with MegaTamir K is repeated at this type of application too. Next step is to undercoat MegaFilm İzo Pu as one layer and let it dry for 2-3 hours. Megaİzo Pu 15 is applied at least 2 layers on the wet surface. Between two layers, at least 12 hours should be waited. Megoİzo Bant is also used in this application.
B: Thermal Insulation
1. Benefits of thermal insulation materials can be both ecologically and economically. Thermal insulation reduces heating costs due to preventing the loss of thermal energy by a lot of percentage. Thus, in conclusion, the use of external heat source will be reduced. With the aid of eternal thermal insulation application, the condensation point is delayed and Wall remain dry. Using thermal insulation material controls the level of comfort and health of the people living in these buildings. In order to provide thermal comfort, the difference between the ambient temperature and temperature of the internal surface of the wall should be decreased. As the difference between these temperature amounts increase, the level of comfort decreases. Since the hot air passes through near the cold surface, the surface can be made warm, in conclusion the difference decrease. Thermal insulation prevent emitting a lot of CO2 into the atmosphere. Finally, application of thermal insulation is also help with the block of noise in the buildings.
4. As the thickness of the heat isolation increases, the effect of the heat saving is affected positively. In addition, higher flat numbers means higher level of heat saving. Due to the level of heat saving increase as the thickness of the isolation increase, the costs are reduced and the comfort of the people living in these buildings increases.
